Requesting an estimate
The practice’s published notice explains that people who are not enrolled in a health plan or federal health care program, or who are not seeking to file a claim with their coverage, can request a good faith estimate when arranging health care items and services.
What the estimate covers
An estimate describes reasonably expected charges based on the information available when it is prepared. New treatment areas, new injuries, changes in therapy and unknown or unexpected costs may not be included. Special circumstances may lead to additional charges.
